Professor Geneviève Parent, DDSA Chair Holder, Appointed to IICA Canada's Advisory Committee

Professor Geneviève Parent, holder of the DDSA Research Chair, has been appointed as a member of the Advisory Committee of the Canadian delegation of the Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture (IICA).

This committee, which brings together some 20 to 25 experts from the public and private sectors, academia, and civil society, is mandated to guide IICA's work in Canada and strengthen agri-food cooperation across the Americas and the Caribbean. Professor Parent sits on the committee as a representative of the academic sector.

This appointment recognizes Professor Parent's expertise in international agri-food law and highlights the growing influence of the DDSA Chair in Canadian and inter-American policy circles. She will notably contribute to IICA's strategic discussions for 2026, including the preparation of AmericasAgForum26, to be held in Quebec.
