The objective of this scholarship is to encourage and motivate individuals to pursue doctoral studies in law at Université Laval and to focus their thesis on a topic related to food diversity and security.

Eligibility criteria
- Admission for Winter 2026 or Fall 2026 in the targeted program
- Full-time enrollment (12 credits) at the time of receiving the scholarship and/or payments, or having recognition of this status according to Financial Aid for Studies
- If enrolled part-time (6 to 11 credits), individuals recognized as student parents according to the terms of Université Laval's Policy on Student Parents may be eligible for this competition. To this end, it is your responsibility to provide us with the certificate issued by the Office of the Registrar by sending it before April 1st to: bourses@fd.ulaval.ca
- The thesis must constitute a legal analysis related to the DDSA Chair's research areas and must be under the supervision of Professor Geneviève Parent
Evaluation and selection criteria
Scholarship recipients will be chosen based on the quality of their academic record, the relevance of their research project in relation to the objectives and research program of the DDSA Chair, their ability to make a significant contribution to the advancement of knowledge in the field of agri-food law, the quality of recommendations, and the overall quality of the application file (including written language proficiency: spelling, grammar and syntax).

The file must contain:
- A letter of introduction and motivation (max. 1 page)
- A summary of the proposed research project with possible impacts of the project (max. 2 pages)
- The final transcript from the previous level of study
- The most recent transcript if enrolled in Winter 2026
- An up-to-date curriculum vitae
An application file submitted that is not accompanied by all required supporting documents by the competition closing date and time will be declared ineligible by the Chair.
