Tom Ignacchiti
Scientific Coordinator
Tom Ignacchiti is Scientific Coordinator at the Chair for Research in Law on Food Diversity and Security (DDSA Chair) and Lecturer at the Faculty of Law of Université Laval, where he co-teaches the courses "Global Food Security" and "Global Food Security and Intellectual Property." He holds a Master's degree in Environmental Law, Sustainable Development and Food Security (LL.M.) from Université Laval and a Master 2 in Environmental Law from Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, as part of a dual-degree program. He also holds a Master 2 in Agricultural Law and Agri-Food Sectors from Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne. Within the DDSA Chair, his research focuses on legal issues related to food security, the right to adequate food, and intellectual property rights in the agricultural and agri-food sector. He is one of the architects of the Proposal for an International Convention on Agricultural and Food Diversity and Sustainability.
